Gothic Rose Jewellery
Rose jewellery for people who want the flower without the sweetness. A rose in silver steel reads differently from a rose in gold: sharper, closer to the thorn than the petal, and ours are chosen for that.
It's a small collection: a rose pendant on a choker or a longer chain, and a pair of rose earrings. All 316L stainless steel finished in silver, so the petals keep their detail; a plated alloy rose goes dark in the folds within a year, and ours doesn't. Chokers are sized to the neck with the extender fitted, necklaces run from 35cm to 90cm, and the earrings are sold as a pair. If the rose is the mood but not quite the motif, the rest of our pendants are next door.
Which rose piece?
A rose pendant choker on a 4mm chain is the everyday one; it sits at the throat and reads as a gothic detail rather than a flower. The rose and cross pendant with the stake through it is the necklace version, and the one for someone who wants the symbol to have an edge. The rose and skull huggies are the smallest dose. The rose gold plated word chokers are here because of the colour, not the flower.
What size do I need?
Chokers: Small for 11 to 15 inch necks (28 to 38cm), Medium 13 to 17 (33 to 43cm), Large 15 to 19 (38 to 48cm), with a 4 inch extender. The pendant necklace: 35 to 90cm, with 50cm the usual pendant length. The collar: Small to Medium or Medium to Large. Earrings need no size.
Will it tarnish or turn my skin green?
The steel, no. Cast 316L keeps the petal detail and does not oxidise. The rose gold pieces are plated over that steel. The faux leather rose collar has plated hardware and is for dry wear.
Can I wear it in the shower?
The steel chokers, pendant and earrings, yes. Rinse the rose under the tap now and then so product does not sit between the petals. The collar stays dry.
Is it hypoallergenic?
The steel pieces, for most wearers, yes. The rose collar is faux leather with plated hardware; fine against skin for most people, but not steel.
