Cable Chain Bracelets
A cable chain bracelet is the bracelet you buy first, usually. Cable is the round link, the plainest chain there is, and on a wrist that plainness is the point: it goes with everything else you're wearing and never argues with it.
Ours run from 2mm, which stacks three deep without looking busy, up to 10mm, where the links are the piece. All 316L stainless steel, silver or 18k gold plated, so the knocks a wrist takes don't show. Sold in 2cm steps; measure snug just below the wrist bone and add a centimetre or two. If you'd like the 4cm extender we fit it. A 4mm cable is the most popular, and it's the chain to buy if you've got a small charm you want to hang. The same chain's here as a necklace and a choker.
Which width should I get?
2mm and 3mm sit beside a watch and go in a stack of three; the 3mm takes a small charm. 4mm is the everyday cable bracelet, visible on its own. 6mm is worn for itself, and is the width the crescent moon and O ring bracelet is built on. 10mm is chunky, flat and worn with nothing else on the wrist.
What size do I need?
Tape round the wrist just below the bone, snug, and add 1.5cm. Sizes are 16, 18, 20 and 22cm. The 10mm takes half a centimetre more. The optional 4cm extender gives one bracelet two fits, and turns a 22cm into an anklet for most people.
Cable, Belcher or box?
All three are plain. Cable links are round and fine, and take a pendant on a bail. Belcher links are round and open, and take a charm on a jump ring. Box links are square and catch more light. If you want the bracelet to disappear beside a watch, cable.
Will it tarnish or turn my wrist green?
No. Solid 316L stainless steel with nothing plated on the silver, and 18k gold over steel on the gold moon bracelet. A plain chain has nowhere to hide wear, and there is no wear to hide.
Can I wear it in the shower?
Yes. Washing up, the gym and the sea too. Round links hold nothing; towel it and it is dry.
Is it hypoallergenic?
For most wearers, yes. 316L stainless steel on the thin skin inside the wrist.
