Small Hoop Earrings

A small hoop is the one you forget you're wearing, which is exactly why it needs to be made of something you can leave in: through showers, through sleep, for weeks.

Everything here is 20mm across or smaller, from 12mm huggies that sit tight to the lobe up to the 20mm hoop, which is the most popular size we do. Plain, spiked, skull and cross designs, in 316L stainless steel, silver or 18k gold plated, hypoallergenic for most wearers. Sold as pairs.

Hoops are measured across the ring, so if you already have a pair you like, measure them. Huggies snap shut and hinged hoops click, and both are comfortable to sleep in. If you want something with more presence, the chunky hoops use a heavier wire. Plenty of people wear a small hoop and a stud in the same ear.

How small is small?

Everything in this collection is 20mm across or less. 12mm and 14mm huggies sit tight to the lobe, 15mm sits just below it, and 20mm, the most popular size, sits just off the lobe with a little movement.

Are they hypoallergenic?

For most wearers, yes. They're 316L stainless steel, the grade used for surgical steel, so they can stay in for weeks without the itch that plated alloy causes. They're sold as pairs.

How do they fasten?

Hinged hoops click shut, huggies snap into place, and studs have butterfly backs. None of them need a tool, and all of them stay put through a night out.

Can I shower and sleep in them?

Yes. The steel is water resistant and doesn't tarnish, so showers and swimming won't dull them. Huggies are the most comfortable to sleep in.

Silver or gold?

Both are 316L stainless steel. The gold is an 18k plate over that steel, which stays warm for years but eventually wears at the post and hinge, where it rubs most. The silver is steel all the way through, so there's nothing to wear off.
