Personalised Bracelets
A personalised bracelet is the one you look at more than anyone else does, which is why the ones with a name or a date on them get bought for the wearer as often as for someone else. This is the small collection of ours that can be made personal: engraved plates and hearts, and a letter charm, on chains for the wrist.
The engraved ones are made to order here, two to three working days, and can't be returned once they carry your words, so read it back before you pay. All of it's cut in 316L stainless steel, silver or 18k gold plated, so the letters stay crisp and the metal stays the colour you picked. Sold in 2cm steps; measure your wrist snug just below the bone and add a centimetre or two. The 4cm extender is fitted if you'd like it. If the words want to be at the neck instead, our personalised necklaces are the bigger collection.
Engraved or initial?
Engraved when you have a date, a name or a phrase; the 20mm heart takes one line, the 30mm heart takes a name over a date. Initial when you want one letter on a tag. The engraved box chain bracelet suits someone who wears fine jewellery; the 10mm Cuban versions of both suit someone who wears heavy chains.
What size do I need?
Tape round the wrist just below the bone, snug, and add 1.5cm. The box chain bracelets come in 16, 18, 20 and 22cm with an optional 4cm extender. The 10mm Cuban bracelets come in Small 16.5cm, Medium 19cm and Large 22cm with a toggle and no extender, so get the measurement right on those. For a gift with no measurement, 18cm or Medium is the most popular women's size and 20cm or Large the most popular men's.
Silver or gold?
Silver engraves darker and reads more clearly. Gold is 18k plate over the same steel and engraves as a fine silver line. The initial bracelet is silver only.
Will the engraving wear off?
No. A wrist is the harshest test an engraving gets, and this one is cut into solid steel, with no plate over it and no brass under it.
Will it tarnish or turn my wrist green?
No. Steel, no copper, nothing to tarnish.
Can I wear it in the shower?
Yes, washing up included. Rub a thumb over the letters under the tap when soap builds up in them.
How long does it take?
Engraved bracelets are cut in two to three working days. The initial bracelet ships from stock. Order a week ahead of the date.
