Zodiac chokers with your sign in Old English lettering, on a 4mm cable chain that sits at the base of the throat. These are chokers rather than long necklaces, so the word sits where people read it, and the lettering is the gothic blackletter style rather than a star sign symbol, which means it reads as a word first and a horoscope second.

All twelve signs are here, cut in 316L stainless steel and finished in silver, so the letters stay crisp at the edges and the chain stays the colour it started. A plated alloy pendant would lose the fine serifs and go dark in the cuts within a year. Ours can be worn every day, in the shower, and to bed.

They're sized Small, Medium and Large by neck measurement, with the 4 inch extender fitted to the chain, so the size you choose has room built in. Measure your neck where you'd like it to sit and choose the size that covers that number. Which sign should I buy?

Theirs, or yours, and some people buy a partner's or a rising sign. The pendant is the name of the sign in Old English lettering rather than the glyph, so it reads as a word from close up and as a gothic shape from a distance. Each product page gives the dates for that sign if you need to check which one somebody is.

What size do I need?

The zodiac pieces are chokers, so they are sized to the neck: Small for 11 to 15 inches (28 to 38cm), Medium for 13 to 17 (33 to 43cm), Large for 15 to 19 (38 to 48cm), each with a 4 inch extender included. Measure just above the collarbone, where the pendant will sit. If it is a gift and you cannot measure, Medium is the most popular size, and the extender gives you room either way.

What does it hang on?

A 4mm solid stainless steel cable chain with a lobster clasp. The pendant is cut 1.5mm thick and sits flat, and the round links keep it centred.

Will it tarnish or turn my neck green?

No. There is no plate on it; pendant and chain are both 316L stainless steel. Nothing to darken, no copper to mark the skin, and the lettering keeps its edges for as long as it is worn.

Can I wear it in the shower?

Yes. Shake the water out of the letters and towel it.

Is it hypoallergenic?

For most wearers, yes. 316L stainless steel against the throat.
