Jewellery Gifts for Your Husband

If your husband wears a wedding ring and nothing else, he probably hasn't been given the right chain yet. A plain one, in the right width, tends to go on and stay on.

This collection is almost all plain chain. Cuban, the flat link everyone pictures, and Figaro, three short links and one long, as necklaces and bracelets from fine to chunky. They're 316L stainless steel, silver or 18k gold plated, with every chain cut and finished by us, so he can wear one to work, in the shower and to bed, and it'll look the same on your next anniversary.

Necklaces are sold by length from 35cm to 90cm and bracelets in 2cm steps; a chain or bracelet he already owns will tell you the size. 6mm is the most popular width. The ones who like the necklace usually end up with the matching bracelet.

Cuban or Figaro?

Cuban is the flat, interlocking link that looks like a chain should. Figaro has a rhythm, three short links and one long, so it looks finished without a pendant. If he already wears one, the other makes the second chain.

Which width should I buy?

6mm is the most popular. If he wears a wedding ring and a watch and nothing else, stay around 4mm to 6mm; 8mm and up is for a man who wants it seen.

What if I don't know their size?

Find a necklace they already wear and measure it end to end, clasp included. That's the length to buy. Our necklaces are sold in centimetres from 35cm to 90cm, and you can add the optional 4 inch extender on the product if you'd like some room either way. We can't tell you what size someone is, but the chain on their neck can.

How do I get a bracelet size without asking?

Borrow a bracelet they wear and measure it end to end. Ours are sold in 2cm steps, and if you'd like the 4cm extender, choose it on the product and we fit it before it ships, which gives you some room if you're working from a guess.

Will it tarnish or turn their skin green?

Not the steel. 316L stainless steel doesn't tarnish and has no copper in it to leave a green line, so it looks the same next year as it does out of the box. It doesn't react with skin for most wearers.

Does it come gift boxed?

Day collars come gift boxed as standard. On other pieces, where a gift box is offered you'll see it as an option on the product; add it there before it goes in your basket. Steel pieces without a box come in a black velvet pouch.
