Returns Policy

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Please note we do not offer free returns.


How to Return Your Item

Our returns process is simple. Follow the steps below to initiate your return.

  • Step 1 — Visit your account to start a return or cancel your order here.
  • Step 2 — Let us know using the self-return option why you are returning the item/s.
  • Step 3 — Wait for a returns approval email from us with further instructions.
  • Step 4 — Send your item back to us securely to the address provided in your returns approval email.
  • Step 5 — Once we receive your item we will process your return within 1-2 business days.

If you do not have access to a printer, please include a handwritten note with your return stating your full order details. Failure to include your order information will result in a delay in processing your return.


Important Things to Know

You have 30 days from the date your parcel is delivered to return unwanted item(s). Returns requested after 30 days will be rejected.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it — unworn, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.

Branded gift bags and gift boxes are separately-priced products in their own right, not return packaging. Where a gift box or gift bag is supplied as part of a bundled item, it forms part of the goods you have purchased and must be returned with that item in its original, unused condition. If a gift box is not returned, or is returned used or damaged, it is treated as a product retained by you or reduced in value, and its retail price of £4.99 will be deducted from your refund accordingly. Gift boxes purchased as standalone products are subject to the same return conditions as any other item.

Buyers are responsible for the safe return of goods. Standard untracked post is not considered a secure method of return. We strongly advise customers to use a tracked and insured service up to the value of the goods being returned. chokers.co.uk cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit, as stated in our terms and conditions. We cannot offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit for returns lost in transit.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances:

  • Pierced items (earrings, body rings, and similar) — excluded for hygiene reasons in accordance with UK consumer law.
  • Custom, engraved, and personalised items — including custom letter items, name/word items, and engraved pieces — as these are made to order specifically for you and are final sale.
  • Gift cards — all gift cards are digital and non-returnable.

Custom, engraved, and personalised items cannot be cancelled, amended, or refunded once your order has been placed, and all sales are final. This applies from the moment of purchase, regardless of whether production has begun, in accordance with the statutory exemption for personalised and made-to-order goods. Please check all spellings, names, and personalisation details carefully before ordering, as we are unable to make changes after checkout.

Sale items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges beyond your statutory rights. If a sale item arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery and we will arrange a replacement.


Exchanges

The fastest way to get the item you want is to return your original item and, once the return is accepted, place a new order for the replacement.


Damages and Missing Items

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us as soon as possible after delivery if your item is defective, damaged, missing, or incorrect, so we can resolve it quickly. Prompt reporting helps us put things right, but this does not affect your statutory rights, including your right to reject faulty goods. Returning from Outside the UK

Customs declarations for all international returns (including the EU) must be marked 'Returned goods. No commercial value'.


European Union — 14-Day Cooling Off Period

If your order is being returned from within the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason, without providing justification. As above, your item must be unworn, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase is required. This right does not apply to custom, engraved, or personalised items, or to the other non-returnable items listed above, which are exempt as made-to-order goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal on eligible items, you can cancel or withdraw from your order here at any time within your 14-day cancellation period. You will be asked to confirm your request, and we will send you an acknowledgement by email. Please note that custom, engraved, and personalised items are excluded from this right, as set out above.


Refunds

We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and let you know whether your refund has been approved. If approved, you will be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 1-2 business days of us receiving your return. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider to process and post the refund to your account.
