Gothic Gifts

Buying for a goth is easy to get wrong. Anything that looks like it came from a Halloween aisle will be politely thanked for and never worn.

This collection is the opposite: the pieces our own customers wear. Skulls, crosses and crucifixes, death's head moths, witchy symbols, spikes and a few pairs of gothic earrings, mostly in silver 316L stainless steel, with every chain cut and finished by us. The pendants keep their detail and the chains keep their colour, so it'll still look right in a year, not just on the day.

Pendant necklaces are sold by length from 35cm to 90cm, and the chokers are sized by neck measurement with the 4 inch extender fitted. If you know their taste, the style collections go deeper. If you don't, a skull pendant is the safe bet; it's the one gothic motif that never went anywhere.

What if I don't know their gothic from their grunge?

A skull pendant on a plain chain, or a cross, is the safe choice; they're the motifs that never went anywhere. Witchy symbols, moths and spikes are for someone whose taste you know.

Is everything silver?

Almost all of this collection is silver 316L stainless steel, because that's what most of our gothic customers wear. A few pieces come in 18k gold plated if they're a gold wearer.

What if I don't know their size?

Find a necklace they already wear and measure it end to end, clasp included. That's the length to buy. Our necklaces are sold in centimetres from 35cm to 90cm, and you can add the optional 4 inch extender on the product if you'd like some room either way. We can't tell you what size someone is, but the chain on their neck can.

How do I size a choker I'm buying for someone else?

Measure a choker or short chain they already wear, end to end, and compare it with the lengths on the product. Our chokers come in Small, Medium and Large, and every one has the 4 inch extender fitted to the chain. If their chain falls between two of our sizes, take the smaller one: the extender adds room, but nothing takes it away.

Will it tarnish or turn their skin green?

Not the steel. 316L stainless steel doesn't tarnish and has no copper in it to leave a green line, so it looks the same next year as it does out of the box. It doesn't react with skin for most wearers.

Does it come gift boxed?

Day collars come gift boxed as standard. On other pieces, where a gift box is offered you'll see it as an option on the product; add it there before it goes in your basket. Steel pieces without a box come in a black velvet pouch.
