What size do I need?
Measure your wrist or ankle where the bracelet will sit, snug but not tight, and add about 1.5cm for comfort. Bracelets come in 16, 18, 20 and 22cm. A 15cm wrist takes the 16cm; a 17cm wrist takes the 18cm, and so on. For an ankle, measure the same way; most adults are 20 or 22cm. If you are between sizes or want to wear it on both, take the smaller size and add the 4cm extender.
Bracelet or anklet?
Same piece, different place. A bracelet is seen and read as jewellery. An anklet under trousers or socks is private by default, which is the reason some wearers choose it. The 3mm and 4mm chains work in both places; the 12mm is a wrist piece. The extender makes an anklet from a bracelet length.
Which chain width should I get?
3mm is the everyday day collar bracelet: fine enough to wear with a watch, strong enough to carry the ring. 4mm and 5mm are a little more visible and suit the padlock versions. 12mm is a wide Cuban with a seamless ring and is worn on its own. The O rings are 20mm across on the standard bracelets, solid stainless with no seam.
Will it tarnish or turn my skin green?
No. Something worn twenty-four hours a day cannot be plated, because plate wears through, and it cannot be brass, because brass leaves a green ring. These are solid 316L stainless steel, which stays bright and leaves nothing on the skin.
Can I wear it in the shower?
Yes, that is the point of it. It stays on in the shower, in the pool and in bed. After salt water, rinse it under the tap. That is the whole care routine.
Is it hypoallergenic?
For most wearers, yes. A bracelet that never comes off has to be made of something the skin ignores, and 316L stainless steel is the grade body jewellery is made from for exactly that reason.
Which fastening do they use?
A lobster clasp at the back with the optional 4cm extender hooked to it. There is no locking version at the wrist; the day collar chokers have the 24/7 locking padlocks.
Can I wear it with a watch?
Yes, and most people do. Put the day collar bracelet on the same wrist as the watch, above or below it, and the ring sits beside the case. The 3mm cable and Cuban chains are fine enough not to fight a watch strap. If you wear a wide steel watch, put the bracelet on the other wrist or move it to the ankle.
What comes in the box?
These include a gift box as standard, with the bracelet in a velvet pouch inside it.
